In 2002 I bought an old AEC Swift bus and converted it into a beautiful house on wheels called ‘Alice the Bus’. The bus has since travelled though every state and territory (except Western Australia and Tasmania). At the time, there was a fair bit of interest in the project, so I created ‘The Alice Project‘ website to document the building process.
Sadly, Alice the Bus is currently parked in a Brisbane storage yard waiting for me to find the cash to carry out some substantial repairs. 
The bus needs work done on a badly leaking injector pump, the alternator needs reconditioning or replacing, and the original right angle drive fan needs to be replaced with a large electric radiator fan.

The plan is to fix her up, buy a block of land to build a house on and to live in the bus whilst we build.
